The incredible singer Emma Lamadji (who has distinguished herself around Oumou Sangaré, Eric Bibb, Joe Bowie, Liz McComb, Rhoda Scott…), expresses in the quintet all her immense range of emotions, defending her lyrics in English and sometimes in Sango, the language of her country of origin, Central African Republic. Matia Levréro, a true "brother of soul" of the singer and eternal militant for the bridges between styles, once again pushes the musical boundaries, with passion and sweetness ... After 5 years of existence spent appropriating the Negro spiritual repertoire on many scenes and to be recognized by their peers, Free River signs a new opus, almost entirely composed of original compositions in a tone Jazz World & Soul. Sometimes intimate and contemplative, sometimes marked by groove and dance, the quintet focuses on a very wide range of sensations and invites the listener on a powerful journey.


L’incroyable chanteuse Emma Lamadji (qui s’est illustrée autour d’Oumou Sangaré, d’Éric Bibb, de Joe Bowie, Liz McComb, Rhoda Scott…), exprime dans le quintet toute son immense gamme d’émotions, en défendant ses textes en anglais et parfois en sango, la langue de son pays d’origine, la Centrafrique. Matia Levréro, véritable « frère d’âme » de la chanteuse et éternel militant pour les ponts entre les styles, bouscule une nouvelle fois les frontières musicales, avec passion et douceur... Après 5 années d’existence passées à s’approprier le répertoire du negro spiritual sur de nombreuses scènes et à être reconnu par leurs pairs, Free River signe un nouvel opus, presque entièrement constitué de compositions à l’univers bien affirmé dans une tonalité Jazz World & Soul. Parfois intimiste et contemplatif, parfois empreint de groove et de danse, le quintet mise sur une très large palette de sensations et invite l’auditeur à un puissant voyage.
